Is 6 months long enough to plan a wedding?
Q. My boyfriend and I just got engaged and I am wanting to have a fall wedding, november. But I do not want to wait until 2010. Would I have enough time to plan a wedding for about 160 guest in about 6 months time? Or would it be a lot of stress? We do not have kids and I have a very flexible job. Anyone with experience on planning a wedding would help out!! Thanks.

A. It is absolutely possible, perhaps even easy. You simply need to be flexible about your venue/vendors. First off, you need to be active in looking at available venues, and you should book and put down a deposit on a venue ASAP. Then start looking at caterers and photographers - if photography is important to you, look for one now since they can book up early. Same thing with bands/DJs who are in demand Certain brands of dresses can take up to 5 months to be made. You can usually put in a rush order for an additional fee (same thing with bridesmaid dresses). Keep in mind that most dresses will not take 5 months, but you should try to pick one you love ASAP. Searching out florists, cake vendors, favors, etc. can be left until about 3… [cont.]

How much should i be feeding my 6 month old kittens?
Q. My kittens birthday is on the 1st of July 2007. The turned 6 months old 1 week ago. Before they turned 6 moths old i was feeding them 4 meals a day with half a kitten pouch each, they are VERY healthy kittens! Some websites say now that they have turned 6 months old i should be feeding them 3 meals a day with 1 pouch each and some say other things! What should i be feeding them?
Asked by x_catxlover_x - Sat Dec 8 16:18:11 2007 - - 5 Answers - 0 Comments

A. The "pouches" are the lowest quality cat food you can purchase - full of god knows what meat scraps, artificial coloring and flavor additives. If you will feed them a healthy food such as Wellness canned and Wellness kitten food they should both be able to put away a 5.5 oz can per day and whatever dry food they want. They don't need to eat as OFTEN now and because they have grown and are still growing they will need at least the same amount of food if not more.

How to spend 6 hours in Airport connection?
Q. I've a 6 hours btw my two connecting flights, that I'm gonna be spending at Moscow. any suggestions what to do with them?
Asked by Mango_lover - Fri Oct 6 13:40:18 2006 - - 12 Answers - 0 Comments

A. I would find a flyer or tour guide map before you get there, check out the best thing you should do, hire a cab, and tour the city. Cabbies usually know their way around, and would have the inside scoop on what to do. (unless they have a really good bus or subway system and you don't mind figuring that out.) Whatever you do, don't stay at the airport. Come on now, when will the opportunity to be in Moscow come around again?

What is the best and safest way to introduce my 6 year old dog to my 6 year old cat?
Q. I'm about to move back into my parents house again next April. They have a 6 year old Mini Dachshund named Curry who is very loyal and very possesive of me when I come home. No one is allowed near me. While living on my own I adopted a cat Puffy from the animal shelter. She is very laid back and easy going and is used to being on her own with me. She is about 6 years old to and only has her back claws. What would be the best way to introduce my posesssive dog to my sweet and loving cat. The dog has already killed a bird that my mom had as a pet years ago and at the vet he snaps at other animals. Yet when my friends kid comes over with their dog he is fine. I really feel to be safe we should buy a muzzle for the dog since he did kill a bird. [cont.]

A. Ok... This would be a lot easier if kitty had all her claws. Since she doesn't she's going to be insanely nervous around puppy monster. Pointy kitties = more confident kitties. First. Kitty lives in your bedroom. Puppy monster isn't allowed in the bedroom. Hopefully they will get themselves sorted out inside of just a couple of months so that they can share that space with you. But don't rush it! Rilly. Kitties and puppy monsters that are slowly adjusted to each other can be come greatest, bestest buds. And there is some classic reasoning for this. The cat doesn't consider the dog a competitor. The dog will come to consider the cat as part of the pack. Due to the fact that neither of them will ever know the truth they can have a great… [cont.]

How lumpy is a 6 months food meant to be?
Q. My little boy has been on solids since he was 4 months. Now he is no 3 meals a day that he is 6 months. I normaly do my own dinners. I have just doen a new lot and have left them with some lumpy bits in it. But we are on holidays next month and I have got some jars to take. I tried him on one the other day but he started to choke because of the lumps. What can I do to get him used to to the lumps?
Asked by Wizzy - Tue Apr 1 05:47:39 2008 - - 9 Answers - 0 Comments

A. the only way to get babies used to lumps is to keep trying but slowly!, they need to learn how to control their gag reflex and choking slightly is perfectley normal. 6 months isnt too young-every baby is different some tolerate lumps from the younger age. dont puree it so its almost runny keep a bit of thickness in it, and keep trying, you will know if he if struggling but it does take time.

Why, if our body temperatures are 98.6 degress is an optimal climate closer to 70 degrees?
Q. This of course is pertaining to humans. It seems that it's really rather easy to get heat stroke in 98.6 degree air temperatures. Also strangely, 98.6 degree water for an extended period would seem optimal.
Asked by starofiniquity - Sat Apr 5 19:19:57 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Seeing as we're warm blooded, it wouldn't make sense that we would need our climate to be around the same temperature as our normal body heat. Our bodies are always releasing heat in order to maintain homeostasis [remain at 98.6 degrees F], thus, a cooler climate is usually preferred so that less sweat is necessary. If we remain in hot weather for an extended period of time, our body needs more fluids to replenish that which it loses through [sweating]. However, most people do not feel thirsty until they are already dehydrated, even to the point where they have stopped sweating. When you stop sweating, your body has no means by which to cool itself [other than by dilating the blood vessels, which is not nearly as effective]--when your… [cont.]

A. Check with the kindergarten teacher. They often have great songs that the kids love. Right now at our elementary school, they're all hooked on Dr. Jean, who does fun, upbeat, educational songs, and old favorites like Bear Hunt. They might even be able to burn you a cd. Also, depending on how many have older siblings and parents that have exposed them to more, there's always stuff like Kids Bop, where kids sing popular top 40 songs.

Once claimed "1" or "2", but now "6" on W4 form. How does this change my taxes and paycheck?
Q. I always just claimed 1 or 2 in my W4 forms, but now I've jsut recently claimed 6. I've always had some sort of a return every year. How does claiming 6 change things for my taxes and paycheck?
Asked by Red Bird - Tue Sep 18 00:38:18 2007 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Claiming a higher number of allowances means that less will be withheld from your paycheck. Your refund, if you have one, will be lower by whatever extra amount you got in your paycheck - if the extra allowances cause you to not have as much withheld as your tax liability for the year, you won't get a refund and instead will owe the difference at tax time. It doesn't affect the total amount that you pay, just when you pay it.

How often does a 6 month old have nightmares?
Q. My six month old recently has not been sleeping properly. She would wake up, won't open her eyes, but cry and scream hysterically. Is she having nightmares? And how often does a 6 month old get them? If it helps any, she is teething and has a diaper rash, could that be the cause of her screaming and crying? I'm just getting a little concerned?
Asked by Mommy of 2 awesome babies - Mon May 14 12:48:44 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments

A. They are not nightmares, they are called night terrors. I am not sure exactly what causes them. But I do know that you are not the only parent experiencing them with their child. They can go away or could last for years. I would talk to your pediatrician on your next check up or maybe even schedule an early one just to talk with them about them. They will be able to tell you the best ways to handle them better than me. But I am definitely sure that they are night terrors not nightmares, doesn't sound like too much difference but there is. I hope it all works out for you.

A. This is the minimum visual acuity a individual must have in order to fly. 7, 8, 9/9 would be better. its like 20/40 20/20 20/15 20/10 But this also take into account for color, depth perception and degrees of side vision. I hope this helps.

How should i decorate my 6 gallon tank so that it really brings out my indian dwarf puffer?
Q. Since the dwarf puffer is so small i thought i would be hard to see it in a 6 gallon tank. Im thinking black sand with a black background. Do you think this would work to help bring it out? Also, maybe 1 or 2 artificial plants and a small cave? What do you think? Any other suggestions?
Asked by here_4_1_day - Tue Oct 14 20:27:41 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments

A. Well, when keeping puffers especially you need LOTS of hiding spots. They are very smart critter's and need something to interest them and explore. Also, the more hiding spots you have, the more comfortable the puffer will be and the more often he will be out and about in his tank so you can see him!

It is a twenty gallon and they were bought yesterday. I am trying to breed them. I also have 6 angelfish the size of toonies. How long would it take them to breed? They are in a 30 gallon with tons of slate a crayfish and tons of rocks. I got them yesterday too.
Asked by jay j - Mon Nov 19 20:51:07 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments

A. It takes about 10-12 months (from hatching) for angelfishes to mature and start breeding. It would also help if you can move them to a larger tank say 50-75 gal, but giving them more space they will be able to form pairs and select territories amongst themselves.
