I'm taking a meal to a neighbor who just had twins. Any ideas on somethine easy I could make?
Q. They have three other children at home, and since I don't have kids, I'm not sure what to make. I'm not used to cooking for more than 2 people. I'm looking for something simple but yummy that kids will enjoy, too. Any thoughts would really help! I like the idea of a spaghetti and meatballs type dish- have a really good recipe, but wouldn't that be too spicy if she's breastfeeding?

A. I made pizza spaghetti for my 1 yr olds birthday. I was sure the kids would love it but I was so surprised to see the adults going fpr 2nd and 3rd servings. It was just regular spaghetti but layered with lots of cheese and lots of pepperoni, I made garlic breadsticks too (freezer section) I made a really big pot of spaghetti with meat sauce and lots of finely diced bellpepper ( i love pepperoni and bellpepper pizza). Then I layered it in a really big pan and put it in the oven til the cheese on the top browned

I'm 14 and I want to start a jewelry business from my home. What are the legal ramifications?

A. Adding to the previous answer the reason for the legal age of 18 is the ability to enter into legal binding contracts. You will need a business license and tax ID if you start your own business. You will need to collect sales tax in your state (if this applies). Being this sounds like solely from home/internet check with your city or county on what is needed for a home business. You need to be clear this is not a consultant based business but a sole proprietorship, You will also need to check with your state to see if your chosen business name is available for use to prevent trademark or copyright infringement. I'm having a big spaghetti dinner for 35 people. What is the best way to keep the pasta hot?
Q. Also, how much pasta do I cook for that many people? After the noodles are cooked, do I leave them in the water? Do I rinse them? I understand I'm not to put oil or butter on them. Professional help please!

A. I boiled salted water and put the uncooked noodles in it without any further cooking with the hopes of having them ready when the family came home when everyone was running late. The noodles disintegrated in the pot, so I wouldn't do that. I would get my sauce cooked well ahead of time and keep it simmering, but keep a big pot of water hot, nearly boiling, and keep adding water to it, so that about 10 minutes ahead of serving the pasta I could cook the noodles and add them to the hot spaghetti sauce. A lot of good cookbooks have a "cooking in quantities" or "cooking for a crowd" sections. Have a great party. Get one of those great big platter/bowls that are kind of flat and serve the pasta in that and if you have a really big platter… [cont.]
