From Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. X is the twenty-fourth letter in the basic modern Latin alphabet. Its name in English ( /
ˈ

/) is pronounced eks, plural ekses ( /
ˈ

s
UsesApart from being a part of the Latin alphabet, the letter is a Roman numeral representing 10. It is commonly used in correspondence along with the letter O (as in "XOXO"-the Xs representing kisses and the Os hugs). Traditionally, X was used to "mark the spot" on treasure maps to indicate where treasure was buried. X is used by the illiterate in lieu of a signature and indicates a signature line on forms. In cartoons, Xs are drawn instead of eyes to indicate the death of a character. X also represents an incorrect answer on tests or quizzes. From Wikipedia under the

F_1 has a magnitude of 9.00 and is directed at an angle of 63.0 degrees above the negative x axis in the second quadrant. F_2 has a magnitude of 5.20 and is directed at an angle of 53.7 degrees below the negative x axis in the third quadrant. Asked by bg - Wed Sep 26 12:47:18 2007 - - 1 Answers - 2 Comments A. vector f = mag(f) * (cos(theta),sin(theta)) when theta is CCW relative to +x axis. f1 = (-4.085914D+000 +8.019059D+000) f2 = (-3.078469D+000 -4.190827D+000) ft = f1+f2 = (-7.164383D+000 +3.828232D+000) Magnitude (ft) = 8.123038 Angle (CCW from +x) = arctan2(v3(2), v3(1)) = 151.8825 deg arctan2(Vy, Vx) accommodates the full 360-deg range of angles whereas the normal arctan(Vy/Vx) function can only output angles in the +x half of the plane, -90 to 90 deg. In this case it's helpful since the problem was set up for a -x resultant. Answered by kirchwey - Wed Sep 26 13:15:51 2007 How do you answer a trinomial factorization where x is negative? Q. I have the problem x^2= 24-10x. Therefore, you would move the x^2 to the right side of the equation, but after that it would be 0=24-10x-x^2. Asked by loveseverus14 - Sun Jul 27 16:41:33 2008 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments A. x^2 = 24 - 10x Set equal to zero x^2 + 10x - 24 = 0 Two factors of -24 that sum to 10. The factors are 12 and -2, since 12*(-2) = -24 and 12 - 2 = 10 (x + 12)(x - 2) = 0 x + 12 = 0 or x - 2 =0 x = -12 or x = 2 Answered by Lazy Eight ( ) - Sun Jul 27 16:46:04 2008 What sort of personality disorders would a person X have who has a network of syncophants, either adhering to?
Q. him/her for their own advancement, their fear for job security, or whatever. This network functions as spies, saboteurs of the work of others, and apologists for the person X, in order to preserve the person X's position, thus ensuring their own survival. Asked by Gerard G - Sat Jan 12 02:09:46 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. It is said that power corrupts, and that absolute power corrupts absolutely. The person may not have a personality disorder. What you see is the consequence of natural laws. By the way, do not think of him as safe in that position. Such people can stay in that situation perhaps for years, but then reality has a way to assert itself.
