Pascal is an influential imperative and procedural programming language, designed in 1968/9 and published in 1970 by Niklaus Wirth as a small and efficient language intended to encourage good programming practices using structured programming and data structuring. A derivative known as Object Pascal was designed for object oriented programming. From Wikipedia under the

The NarcoSphere From Google News Search: "Pascal programming language" Is Pascal a good programming language to base on? Q. I'm starting programming, and I want to learn C++, but i want to start easy and build myself up. I'm learning Pascal, and it's pretty easy, but is it good to start with? Asked by johnny - Wed Jun 10 18:42:18 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. I've heard that Pascal is actually pretty useless. Its pretty much only used to teach computer science, hardly anyone actually uses it in the IT industry. I would start off with something like Basic. Visual Basic is similar, and there's a greater demand for it by IT Professionals. (Although I personally have never sucsessfully tried VB, I find it too hard... maybe thats just me though) As for C++, its the first language I learned after Basic. After learning Basic, C++ can be seen as very very easy. At least as far as the concepts you've already learned in Basic. Once you start getting into more complex features it can get tediusly hard, until you've mastered those particular concepts. But the same can be said about any… [cont.] Answered by W B - Wed Jun 10 19:02:29 2009 Program with Pascal language for Numerical Analysis? Q. Well, difficult to say how long it would take, until your currnet skill, logic and intelligence, available study material and learning environment is known. However I would give you some tips to speed up your learning process: 1. Unlike Pascal etc, C++ is an Obeject Oriented Language. So you first have to clear your understanding of object orientation. To help with this, follow learning about: Classes and Objects, Encapsulation, Polymorphism and Inheritance. Use these keywords to search internet and understand them logically. 2. After you get initial introduction, try taking daily life problem to program not just reading others codes and trying them on pc (it is useful in begining though) 3. For beginners, I found Robert Lafore's book "O [cont.] Answered by Ehtisham M - Sun May 13 13:14:19 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Pascal programming language" |
