Hatred (or hate) is an intense feeling of dislike. It may occur in a wide variety of contexts, from hatred of inanimate objects or animals, to hatred of oneself or other people, entire groups of people, people in general, existence, or everything. Though not always, hatred is often associated with feelings of anger. Philosophical viewsPhilosophers have offered many influential definitions of hatred. René Descartes viewed hate as an awareness that something is bad combined with an urge to withdraw from it. Baruch Spinoza defined hate as a type of pain that is due to an external cause. Aristotle viewed hate as a desire for the annihilation of an object that is incurable by time. Finally, David Hume believed that hate is an irreducible feeling that is not definable at all. Psychoanalytic viewsIn psychoanalysis, Sigmund Freud defined hate as an ego state that wishes to destroy the source of its unhappiness. More recently, the Penguin Dictionary of Psychology defines hate as a "deep, enduring, intense emotion expressing animosity, anger, and hostility towards a person, group, or object." The would never succeed in other places but the U.S. Take, for example, that fat slob Michael Moore. He hates America and this country gave him every opportunity he could ever need. He has had so much success here and doesn't even help his country out (making movies is not helping his country; somebody else could have made the same movies). I just don't see how they could hate a country that gave them more than they needed. Not all celebrities hate America, I know that. Baseball needs to thrive and in order to thrive there needs to be a salary cap. Right now the playing field isn't level. Equal competition make sports more exciting, and the more exciting sports are, the more fans you have that want to watch it. More fairness, far better competition, more money for all in baseball, and a heck of a lot more fun for the fans who watch. Making it equal through building your farm system and trading all under a cap can do this.
